Science@Work (SAWNL) is seeking an independent laboratory technician who enjoys hands-on work in a physical lab and is interested in automated systems. You will register and pre-treat samples and perform analyses using modern robotic equipment.
You will ensure systems run efficiently, keep chemicals and consumables stocked, and record results accurately. The role is long-term, 40 hours weekly on a three-shift schedule, with a 25% shift allowance and a potential permanent contract.
For this position, we are looking for an independent laboratory technician who enjoys being hands-on in a physical laboratory and is also interested in working with automated laboratory systems.
In this role, you will work together with your colleagues to register and pre-treat incoming samples. You will also perform various analyses, working with modern robotic systems, among other equipment.
You will ensure that these systems continue to operate efficiently and that all required chemicals and consumables are available. In addition, you will be responsible for accurately recording and documenting the results.
