Job summary

Veldwerk Uitzendbureau is seeking a proactive laboratory technician for our mineral laboratory in Spijkenisse. You will prepare and process samples, manage storage, and perform physical tests to support daily analyses in the Natural Resources sector.

Work is 40 hours per week with potential for a 2-shift system in the future. Dutch and/or English are acceptable; a reliable team player is essential for our enthusiastic, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory or production environment is preferred but not required.
• You are eager to learn, reliable and a true team player.
• Good command of Dutch and/or English to work with colleagues and systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process incoming samples according to procedures.
• Manage sample storage and related administration.
• Perform physical tests such as TML, sieve, and bulk density tests.
• Carry out first-line and internal quality controls and take action when needed.
• Operate machines to prepare samples for analysis.
• Fill and prepare samples for the laboratory, assist with maintenance and calibration.
• Contribute to quality and process controls and work in a collaborative team.

In this versatile role, you are responsible for preparing and processing samples that are essential for our laboratory analyses. You combine practical, physical work with accuracy and a strong focus on quality.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing and processing incoming samples according to technical procedures
• Managing sample storage and related administration
• Performing physical tests such as TML tests, sieve tests, and bulk density tests
• Carrying out first-line and internal quality controls and taking action when necessary
• Operating machines used to prepare samples for analysis
• Filling and preparing samples for the laboratory
• Assisting with maintenance, calibration, and inspection of equipment
• Performing quality and process controls
• Working closely with colleagues in an enthusiastic and committed team

We are looking for a proactive and flexible colleague. You:

• Are available 40 hours per week
• Are flexible and willing to work in a 2-shift system in the future
• Have a good command of Dutch and/or English (many colleagues and systems are English-speaking)
• Have no problem performing physical work
• Preferably have experience in a laboratory or production environment (not required)
• Are eager to learn, reliable, and a true team player

• A salary between €2,560 and €2,750 gross per month (excluding shift allowances), depending on experience
• 8% holiday allowance
