Job summary

Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) invites driven students to join as an Operations Team Intern in the Netherlands. You’ll support project teams on events, research, and stakeholder coordination, gaining hands-on international collaboration experience.

Based in the Netherlands, the internship spans 4+ months with hybrid work options, and includes mentorship, networking opportunities, and an internship allowance to help you grow professionally in the water sector.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in higher education (University of Applied Sciences, or University).
• Strong English writing and communication skills.
• Organisational skills and familiarity with tools like Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
• Affinity with creating communication materials (e.g. PowerPoint).
• Proactive, professional, and detail-oriented approach.
• Good organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to conduct data collection tasks such as desk research, phone interviews, or online professional meetings with the public and private sector.

Internship opportunity: Operations team Intern

Are you looking to make a real impact in the global water sector? Join the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) as an Operations Team Intern and help support Dutch water organisations (private, public, knowledge, and NGOs) in driving international water collaboration.

The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is the foremost network organisation for the Dutch water sector. The Netherlands has a rock-solid reputation in water management, and we believe this expertise can make a global difference. We help the Dutch water sector share its knowledge, connect with key partners, and engage in opportunities related to exports, international cooperation, and promotion.

NWP has around 180 members, including profit and non-profit organisations, covering areas from water technology to infrastructure, as well as NGOs and government bodies. We bring our members together to create a positive global impact. Through projects, programmes, events, and activities, we create visibility for the Dutch water sector, helping our members expand market opportunities on the international stage. Our ambition is to double the international reach of the Dutch water sector while working on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Your role

We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive team player based in the Netherlands. As an intern, you’ll assist our project teams with the following.

• Hosting delegations to showcase Dutch water management.
• Organising webinars and hybrid stakeholder meetings.
• Researching and identifying collaboration opportunities.
• Conducting research studies to identify collaboration opportunities for Dutch water organisations.
