Job summary

Job description

• At least five years of experience in an operational leadership role within a 24/7 environment such as logistics, rental, or field service
• A track record of running and optimising operational processes and service software (planning software, ticketing software, field service software)
• Experience working with a decentralized, international team across multiple countries
• Technical affinity with electrical engineering or energy to grasp the complexity of the operation
• Fluent in English. Additional languages (Dutch, German, French and/or Spanish) are a bonus

As it scales fast across Europe, the Operations Manager builds the engine that keeps this round-the-clock business running.

About Greener Power Solutions

The idea was born backstage at a festival, where the founders were struck by how much diesel it took to keep the lights on. Greener Power Solutions set out to change that, renting out mobile batteries that deliver clean, quiet power exactly where the grid falls short: festivals, construction sites, film sets, and infrastructure projects. Its self-developed software sets the batteries apart, giving customers real insight into their energy use and steering different sources into one efficient supply. And the market keeps growing. In the Netherlands alone, nearly 10,000 businesses are waiting for electrification.

What began as a bold alternative to the diesel generator has become the clear market leader. Greener has doubled its revenue and EBITDA every year since its founding in 2018. Since infrastructure investor CVC DIF came on board in 2022, that pace has only accelerated: the fleet has grown from 40 batteries to 300, the team from 20 to 90 people. Greener now operates across the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, France, DACH and the Nordics and Sweden, and with other regions in sight.

That kind of growth changes what an organization needs. In September 2025, Jasper van den Driest joined as CEO to lead the next phase: the shift from a fast-moving scale-up into a mature, professional company. The commercial engine runs well. The operation now has to catch up. The culture stays informal and close-knit, with unhurried lunches away from the meeting rooms and colleagues who step in for one another, but the ambition is sharper than ever.

Vacancy: Operations Manager

Greener rents out hardware that cannot simply be swapped: each battery is a ten-thousand-kilo unit housed in a sea container, and power is critical. When something fails at a project at two in the morning, the power needs to be restored asap. The Operations Manager owns that reality, running the daily operation across battery planning, engineer scheduling, and the coordination of tickets and cases, and acting as the final escalation point when complex problems arise.

Keeping the operation running is only half the mandate. The other half is building the structure that growth demands. As the organization scales, the way it works needs to scale with it; the task is to build robust, repeatable processes with clear KPIs and reliable reporting. New systems are key here, from an operations platform to a field-service tool for the engineers, and the Operations Manager makes sure they are implemented and genuinely used across the team.

The scope is international from day one. The Operations Manager leads four project managers and a growing group of service engineers across the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany, and reports to the Operations Director. As the footprint expands into new markets, the role brings structure and control to an operation that is growing fast.

Within the operations team, alongside the fleet manager, the knowledge center, and customer support, the Operations Manager owns the daily operation end to end, with the Operations Director as direct sparring partner.
