Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an experienced server support professional with expertise in automation technologies within the OT team. The role is hands-on, focusing on backup, server maintenance, and implementing robust, low-risk solutions in collaboration with OT teams and customers.

Qualified candidates will have strong experience with Veeam, SCCM, SCOM, PowerShell, and SQL, and will participate in on-call rotations and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related technical disciplines or certification with practical experience and 2-5 years of related experience.
• 3+ years experience with backup and recovery technologies.
• 3+ years experience with supporting large production server environments.
• 3+ years experience with SCOM or other monitoring tool.
• 3+ years experience with SCCM, specifically server patching and reporting.
• 2+ years experience with scripting tools, such as PowerShell, reading and writing scripts.
• Experience working with SQL and writing SQL queries, ideally relating to SCCM and Backup solutions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor Veeam Backup and Recovery servers and jobs.
• Support other team members with all Veeam administrative functions to ensure backups succeed.
• Monitor and maintain all servers in plant domains.
• Support all file services, backups and server patching efforts.
• Architect solutions for process improvement.
• Automate scripts to automate job functions.
• Cross-train team members and document processes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and disaster recovery tasks.
• Engage in project delivery work including device configuration, planning, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with users to understand needs and develop effective system solutions for assigned applications.
• Provide up-to-date project/system documentation including drawings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related technical disciplines or certification with practical experience
