Job summary

Booking.com Amsterdam seeks an Onsite AV Operations Engineer to join the Audio-Visual and Video Collaboration team. You will operate and continuously improve the AV and video collaboration experience across rooms, auditoriums and signage, providing hands-on support for meetings, events and daily operations.

You will troubleshoot issues, install and commission equipment, document procedures, and work with IT Support, Security and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting audio-visual, video-conferencing, meeting-room, event, workplace-technology, or comparable enterprise-support environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with cameras, microphones, displays, touch controllers, speakers, amplifiers, DSPs, room-control systems, digital signage, or related AV equipment.
• Experience supporting video-conferencing platforms or room systems (Cisco, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or similar).
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, QoS) and signaling/media paths such as SIP/RTP.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain meeting rooms, auditoriums, boardrooms, digital signage, video-conferencing endpoints, and related AV systems.
• Troubleshoot audio, video, room-control, endpoint, network, and cloud-service issues using a structured, evidence-based approach.
• Prepare onsite support for important meetings and live events, including high-profile stakeholder meetings and board-week activities.
• Install, configure, test, and document AV equipment in line with standards.
• Read AV system diagrams and coordinate with IT Support, Network, Security, Infrastructure, and vendors.
