Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a Ships Electrical Engineer to join our sea-going fleet on a 5-weeks on/off rotation. You will work on our modern dredging vessels, maintaining and optimizing electrical and automation systems, and ensuring ship administration is up to date and compliant with Van Oord standards.

Qualifications

• Maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of electrical and automation systems on ships.
• Ensuring ship's electrical logs and reports comply with company standards.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer on upgrades and modifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems on board, including PLCs and drive systems.
• Preparing and managing shipboard documentation and logbooks.
• Contributing to safety drills and compliance with regulations.
• Exploring automation and shipboard systems for upgrades.
