Job summary

Servers.com Inc, powered by Nexcess, seeks an on-site Data Center Technician in Woerden, Netherlands. The role involves hands-on support for network and server equipment, with 40 hours per week.

You will perform hardware upgrades, manage inventory, and ensure safety and compliance across multiple data centers. We value proactive problem-solvers with strong technical understanding of copper/fiber media, Linux/Unix basics, and the ability to work independently or in teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Datacenter Technician or similar role.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts.
• Driver's license is required.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment.
• Install, upgrade, and replace network devices, servers, and related components.
• Ensure upgrades meet company standards and operational requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues and test equipment reliability.
• Prioritize tasks using the support ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse/workspace and proper inventory records in the EAM system.
• Must be able to live and work in the Netherlands and be located near Woerden.

We are looking for an On-site Data Center Technician to join our team in Woerden.

Mandatory Duties and Responsibilities

Our rapidly evolving business sector offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative, and passionate team that shares responsibility for the operational quality within our data centers. With multiple data centers in the country, we are looking for a full-time (40-hour) On-site Data Center Technician to join us.

In this role, you will:

• Provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment.
• Execute hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements of network devices, servers, and related components.
• Ensure all upgrades and replacements meet company standards and operational requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to server hardware, including conducting detailed tests to ensure equipment reliability.
• Manage and prioritize tasks using the company's support ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and workspace, ensuring that all equipment is stored properly and that the work environment is safe and efficient.
• Ensure that our inventory system (EAM) is up-to-date.

You are a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, works with a high level of accuracy and tidiness, thriving in both independent and team environments. You excel at analytical

troubleshooting and have a strong technical understanding of Copper (UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber optic (MMF, SMF) media, or you have a passion for technology and are eager to learn.

You also are/have:

• Proven experience as a Datacenter Technician or in a similar role with a focus on datacenter.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems is a plus.
• Previous experience working with support ticketing and warehouse systems is a plus.
• Electrical certifications are a plus.
• Ability to follow specified policies and procedures.
• Fluency in English.
• Flexibility towards working hours; available for rotating 24/7 support.
• Comfortable with tasks that may involve physical activity as part of the role.
• Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.
• Located within a reasonable distance from the office or willing to relocate for a sustainable commute in the long term.
• A driver's license is a must.
