Nexcess is seeking an On-site Data Center Technician to join our Woerden, the Netherlands team. You will provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment across our data centers, performing hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements in line with company standards.

Candidates should have proven datacenter experience, basic Linux/Unix knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Datacenter Technician or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.
• A valid driver’s license is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment.
• Execute hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements of network devices, servers, and related components.
• Ensure upgrades meet company standards and operational requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues with tests to ensure reliability.
• Manage tasks using the ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workspace and ensure proper inventory storage.

We are looking for an On-site Data Center Technician to join our team in Woerden , the Netherlands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Our rapidly evolving business sector offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative, and passionate team that shares responsibility for the operational quality within our data centers. With multiple data centers in the country, we are looking for a full-time (40-hour) On-site Data Center Technician to join us.

In this role, you will:

• Provide hands-on support for maintaining and troubleshooting network and server equipment.
• Execute hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements of network devices, servers, and related components.
• Ensure all upgrades and replacements meet company standards and operational requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to server hardware, including conducting detailed tests to ensure equipment reliability.
• Manage and prioritize tasks using the company’s support ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and workspace, ensuring that all equipment is stored properly and that the work environment is safe and efficient.
• Ensure that our inventory system (EAM) is up-to-date.

You are a proactive problem-solver who takes ownership, works with a high level of accuracy and tidiness, thriving in both independent and team environments. You excel at analytical

troubleshooting and have a strong technical understanding of Copper (UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber optic (MMF, SMF) media, or you have a passion for technology and are eager to learn.

You also are/have:

• Proven experience as a Datacenter Technician or in a similar role with a focus on datacenter.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems is a plus.
• Previous experience working with support ticketing and warehouse systems is a plus.
• Electrical certifications are a plus.
• Ability to follow specified policies and procedures.
• Fluency in English.
• Flexibility with working hours; available for rotating 24/7 support.
• Comfortable with tasks that may involve physical activity as part of the role.
• Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.
• Located within a reasonable distance from the office or willing to relocate for a sustainable commute in the long term.
• A driver’s license is a must.
