Job summary

Via Logistics in Heerlen, NL, seeks a Site Engineer to improve warehouse operations through practical improvements on the shop floor. You will analyse processes, identify issues, and develop implementable solutions from proposal through testing and embedding changes into daily operation.

The role requires a minimum of three years of logistics experience (preferably 3PL), strong on-site leadership, and collaboration with IT, operations and customers.

Qualifications

• HBO degree or equivalent in logistics/engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, preferably 3PL.
• Experience leading improvement projects and implementing changes.
• Strong on shop-floor analysis and practical solutions.
• English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate shop floor processes, identify issues, and propose improvements.
• Own alignment, planning, testing, and embedding changes in the operation.
• Collaborate with operations, IT and customer stakeholders on changes.
• Monitor and optimize partly automated warehouse processes.
• Train teams in new working methods to ensure adoption.
• Measure results, productivity, and quality within scope.
• Guard safety, compliance, and process discipline in daily ops.
