Job summary

ING is seeking a Solution Architect in the Channels domain to design and evolve ING customer digital experiences across mobile, web, and assisted channels. You’ll translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions aligned with ING standards and work within the CoE NL architecture community to drive best practices and governance.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and senior architects to shape the next generation of digital banking capabilities while reinforcing a strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT, including solution design or architecture roles
• Good understanding of digital channels (mobile and web) and API-driven architectures
• Experience with modern application and integration patterns
• Experience in Agile delivery environments
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and distributed systems
• Understanding of customer-facing applications and digital journeys; ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design solution architectures for channel initiatives and product enhancements
• Translate business requirements into clear solution designs
• Support consistent customer experiences across channels
• Apply ING architecture principles, standards, and target architectures
• Collaborate with engineers, product leads, and senior architects to inform design decisions
• Contribute to architecture reviews and governance processes
• Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, performance, and compliance
• Identify opportunities for reuse, simplification, and standardisation
• Participate in CoE architecture practices and communities
