Job summary

A green energy firm in Amsterdam is looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Lead responsible for developing and implementing the OH&S framework across projects and operations. The ideal candidate will define safety standards, translate regulations into actionable procedures, and lead incident investigations. This role requires experience in major hazard environments and a strong knowledge of HSE management systems. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable initiative and work in a collaborative, innovative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. HSE, Chemical, Oil & Gas or similar).
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Experience working in major hazard environments (e.g. SEVESO / ARIE).
• Ability to translate regulatory frameworks into practical, scalable standards.
• A structured mindset with a hands-on approach to building from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
• Define and implement corporate OH&S standards for operations.
• Translate laws into practical policies, procedures, and guidance.
• Design training programs, audit protocols, and investigation methodologies.
• Lead incident investigations, particularly for high-impact cases.
