Job summary

Staffice is recruiting an Ocean Import Forwarder for Rozenburg (Schiphol-Rijk). You will manage end-to-end ocean shipments, negotiate rates with lines and carriers, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation in the system.

The role offers a direct contract with the client, a gross monthly salary of 3,150 to 3,400 EUR, a 40-hour work week, 25 holiday days, and an 8% holiday allowance. Travel and pension benefits are included to support career development.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an Ocean Import Forwarder or in a similar logistics role.
• MBO or HBO level of working and thinking.
• Strong knowledge of ocean import operations (FCL and LCL).
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Strong communication skills and an accurate way of working.
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus.

Ocean Import Forwarder - Rozenburg (Schiphol-Rijk)

As an Ocean Import Forwarder, you are responsible for managing incoming ocean freight shipments from start to finish. You start your workday by reviewing active shipments and coordinating arrangements with shipping lines, transport providers, and overseas agents. Throughout the day, you negotiate freight rates, prepare all necessary transport documentation, and process shipping data accurately into the system. You wrap up your day with up-to-date administration and by proactively informing customers about the status of their shipments.
