Job summary

Staffice zoekt een Ocean Import Forwarder voor Rozenburg (Schiphol-Rijk). Je beheert inkomende zeevrachtzendingen, onderhandelt tarieven en registreert gegevens in het systeem terwijl je de klant tijdig informeert over de voortgang.

De rol is fulltime (40 uur/week) met een direct contract bij de klant, een salarisrange van €3.150 tot €3.400 bruto per maand, 25 vakantiedagen en een 8% vakantiegeld. Relevante ervaring en Engelse vaardigheid zijn vereist.

Qualifications

• Ervaring als Ocean Import Forwarder of soortgelijke logistieke rol.
• MBO/HBO niveau of denken en werken.
• Kennis van zeetransport (FCL/LCL).
• Goede Engelse taalvaardigheid (mondeling en schriftelijk).
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en nauwkeurig werken.
• Ervaring met CargoWise is een pluspunt.

Responsibilities

• Beheren van inkomende zeevrachtzendingen van begin tot eind.
• Onderhandelen over tarieven met leveranciers en vervoerders.
• Boeken, plannen en nauwkeurig verwerken van zendingen in het systeem.
• Regelen met onderaannemers conform klantafspraken.
• Volgen van zendingen en proactief informeren van klanten over de status.
• Oplossen van operationele en transport gerelateerde problemen.
• Voorbereiden en controleren van transportdocumenten.
• Facturatie afhandelen en transportkosten registreren.

Ocean Import Forwarder - Rozenburg (Schiphol-Rijk)

As an Ocean Import Forwarder, you are responsible for managing incoming ocean freight shipments from start to finish. You start your workday by reviewing active shipments and coordinating arrangements with shipping lines, transport providers, and overseas agents. Throughout the day, you negotiate freight rates, prepare all necessary transport documentation, and process shipping data accurately into the system. You wrap up your day with up-to-date administration and by proactively informing customers about the status of their shipments.

For this Recruitment & Selection role, you will be contracted directly by our client!

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating incoming ocean freight shipments from start to finish
• Negotiating freight and transport rates with suppliers and carriers
• Booking, planning, and accurately processing shipments into the system
• Making arrangements with subcontractors in line with customer agreements
• Tracking shipments and providing proactive updates to customers
• Resolving operational and transport-related issues
• Preparing and checking required transport documentation
• Handling invoicing and recording transport costs

Requirements

• Proven work experience as an Ocean Import Forwarder or in a similar logistics role
• MBO or HBO level of working and thinking
• Strong knowledge of ocean import operations (FCL and LCL)
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Strong communication skills and an accurate way of working
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus
