Job summary

Van der Helm Logistics is seeking an experienced freight forwarder for our Den Hoorn branch to coordinate ocean freight import shipments and ensure timely information exchange between all involved parties.

You will collect, process, and verify information from multiple stakeholders, monitor order progress, and maintain contact with the Import Team Leader. You will also contribute ideas for more efficient, digital processes within the field.

Qualifications

• MBO (vocational) level required.
• Experience in a similar position is an advantage.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with WMS and Microsoft Office 365 recommended.
• Customer-oriented attitude and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor ocean freight import shipments.
• Ensure correct information flow between all parties in the process.
• Collect, process and verify information from various parties; monitor progress of orders.
• Create forwarding files including costs, reservations and revenues; handle financials and administration.

For our branch in Den Hoorn, we are urgently looking for an experienced freight forwarder with knowledge of and an affinity for ocean freight imports.

What Will You Do?

In this role, you are responsible for coordinating and monitoring ocean freight import shipments. You ensure that all information between the parties involved is correct and processed in a timely manner.

You collect, process, and verify information from various parties within the logistical process. Additionally, you monitor the progress and completeness of orders.

You create forwarding files including costs, reservations, and revenues, and ensure correct financial and administrative handling. You maintain contact with all parties involved regarding operational progress and report to the Import Team Leader.

You also actively contribute ideas for improvements. You come up with proposals and contribute to more efficient and digital processes within your field.
