Danone in the Netherlands is offering a Product Design & Development Intern position in Utrecht. You’ll work with the Specialized Nutrition R&I team, learning how research is conducted in an industrial setting and helping translate findings into product improvements.

You’ll design experiments, execute in the lab and pilot plant, analyse data, and share knowledge through SOPs and presentations. The role requires hands‑on lab experience, English fluency, and the ability to work 3 days/week in the

Competenze

Background in food science or related field.
Interest in ingredient interactions and product quality.
Hands-on lab experience.
Analytical mindset with data analysis; DOE/Statistics a plus.
Able to plan work independently.
Proactive, curious and creative.

Mansioni

Knowledge building: gathering and reviewing internal and external knowledge relevant to the project.
Research design: defining research questions and hypotheses, and planning the experiments to answer them.
Execution: carrying out experiments in the lab and the pilot plant.
Data analysis: interpreting results, drawing conclusions and proposing improvements.
Knowledge sharing: documenting methods and learnings (e.g. SOPs) and presenting results to stakeholders, ending with a final presentation and report.
