Job summary

The International Health Centre The Hague is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (Verpleegkundig Specialist) to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis (24 hours a week). You will conduct private preventive health checks, pre-employment assessments, and corporate wellness programmes for an international client base.

You will review medical histories, interpret diagnostics, provide lifestyle advice, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality preventive care.

Qualifications

• A valid BIG registration as a Nurse Practitioner/Verpleegkundig Specialist.
• Experience in preventive medicine, occupational health, primary care, or health screening programmes.
• Experience conducting health assessments and interpreting diagnostic results.
• International experience and affinity for multicultural healthcare settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is desirable.
• Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
• The ability to work independently while maintaining a patient-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive private preventive health checks and executive medical examinations.
• Perform pre-employment and fitness-for-work medical assessments.
• Carry out corporate health screening programmes for international companies and organizations.
• Review medical histories, physical examination findings, laboratory results, and diagnostic investigations.
• Provide personalised lifestyle, wellness, and preventive health advice.
• Identify health risks and advise on follow-up care and preventive measures.
• Deliver vaccination and travel health consultations.
• Prepare medical reports and health assessment summaries.
• Coordinate with physicians and specialists when further investigation or treatment is required.
• Contribute to ongoing development and expansion of preventive medicine and health screening services.
• Ensure excellent patient experience and continuity of care for our international client base.

Due to the continued growth of our Health Check Department and expanding preventive healthcare services, the International Health Centre The Hague is seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (Verpleegkundig Specialist) to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis (24 hours a week)

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality preventive healthcare services to private individuals, international companies, embassies, and corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A valid BIG registration as a Nurse Practitioner/Verpleegkundig Specialist
• Relevant clinical experience in preventive medicine, occupational health, primary care, or health screening programmes
• Experience conducting health assessments and interpreting diagnostic results
• International experience and affinity for multicultural healthcare settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• An excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is highly desirable
• Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset
