Job summary

Capax Mundi is recruiting for reactor designers in Europe to take detailed designs from concept to hardware for NSSS projects in the Netherlands. You will own core components and internals, vessels and process systems, working closely with safety and licensing to ensure a solid safety case.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing reactor components or systems (core components, internals, vessels, heat exchangers).
• Thermal-hydraulic understanding of reactor cooling and safety concepts.
• Experience with CAD/PLM and formal design reviews in structured processes.
• Familiarity with relevant nuclear codes and standards (ASME III, RCC-M, KTA or similar).
• Willingness to relocate; on-site multi-team collaboration in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed design of reactor core components, internals and process systems.
• Design, prototype and test designs at test rigs and iterate based on results.
• Produce and review 3D models, drawings and design documentation.
• Collaborate with systems engineering on requirements and interfaces.
• Coordinate with safety/licensing teams to support the safety case.
• Act as a technical interface to suppliers, test laboratories and partners.
