Job summary

New10 B.V. is seeking a Non-Financial Risk Specialist II (Operational Risk Management – ORM) to strengthen governance, advisory, and oversight. You will own risk awareness, identify risks, and ensure they are mitigated and monitored in line with New10’s appetite.

You’ll collaborate across business units and with ABN AMRO to enhance risk processes, controls, and vendor management in a fast-growing fintech environment. English and Dutch communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of non-financial risk domains and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in Operational Risk Management, Risk & Control frameworks, or similar roles.
• Proven ability to perform risk analyses and translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk analyses, deep-dives and investigations to identify vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities.
• Advise stakeholders on risk mitigation, control design and effective implementation.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of New10's risk framework.
• Drive risk awareness by challenging RTOs and other stakeholders on risk ownership.
• Monitor the effectiveness of controls and ensure follow-up on findings and issues.
• Translate risk insights into actionable recommendations and structural improvements.
• Support and improve the risk & control cycle, including automation and optimization of processes.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders (incl. ABN AMRO) on risk management topics.
• Improve the Vendor Management capabilities of New10.

To support our growth and further strengthen our risk management capabilities, we are looking for a Non-Financial Risk Specialist II (Operational Risk Management – ORM).

As a Non-Financial Risk Specialist II, you play a key role in strengthening and safeguarding the integrity of New10’s processes and risk framework. You operate at the intersection of governance, advisory, and oversight and act as a trusted challenger to the business. You take ownership in driving risk awareness across the organization and ensure that risks are identified, assessed, mitigated and monitored in line with New10’s risk appetite.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing risk analyses, deep-dives and investigations to identify vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities
• Advising stakeholders on risk mitigation, control design and effective implementation
• Actively contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the New10 risk framework
• Driving risk awareness by challenging RTOs and other stakeholders on their risk ownership
• Monitoring the effectiveness of controls and ensuring proper follow-up on findings and issues
• Translating risk insights into actionable recommendations and structural improvements
• Supporting and improving the risk & control cycle, including automation and optimization of processes
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders (incl. ABN AMRO) on risk management topics
• Improving the Vendor Management capabilities of New10

This role requires a strong analytical mindset combined with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

We’re looking for someone who has...

• Strong knowledge of non-financial risk domains and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Experience in Operational Risk Management, Risk & Control frameworks, or similar roles
• Proven ability to perform risk analyses and translate findings into actionable improvements
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without formal authority
• A proactive, critical mindset with the confidence to challenge business decisions where needed
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Dutch.
• A data-driven approach and affinity with improving processes and controls
• Experience within financial services, fintech or banking
• Familiarity with risk taxonomies, control testing and governance processes
