Job summary

The Social Hub in The Netherlands is seeking a Community Coordinator to bring NextGen and Student programming to life, plan and coordinate events, and build genuine relationships with students and local groups. You’ll welcome and activate new members, organise activities that foster connection, and spot opportunities to grow engagement.

In a hybrid hospitality setting, you’ll work with the Connector and hub team to ensure smooth delivery, often extending into evenings and weekends to create

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in community building, events, programming or similar role.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple parts of a programme.
• Excellent communication and people skills, enjoy meeting new people.
• Creative mindset with eye for trends and ideas to involve people.
• Hands-on attitude, comfortable handling practical details and talking to members.
• Able to work independently while staying connected with the Connector and hub team.
• Fluency in the local language and English; other languages are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Bring NextGen and Student programming to life from planning to execution.
• Build genuine relationships with students, NextGen participants and local groups.
• Welcome, onboard and activate new students and NextGen members.
• Organise events and activities that drive engagement and retention.
• Identify opportunities to create more engagement and turn ideas into moments.
• Track attendance, feedback and engagement; share insights with the Connector.
• Collaborate with the hub team to ensure smooth delivery of programmes.
• Support the Connector with day-to-day delivery of the hub's community programme.
