Job summary

Seaborough invites motivated Master’s students in chemistry, chemical engineering or physics to join an internship in nanomaterials research in Amsterdam. You will be a full member of the team, contributing to synthesis, characterization, and analysis of luminescent nanoparticles.

Projects focus on downsizing particles to the nanoscale, exploring new synthesis routes, and applying XRD, EM and optical spectroscopy to understand interactions and performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or physics is required.
  • Strong background in lanthanides, nanoparticle synthesis and optical spectroscopy is preferred.
  • Experience with luminescent nanomaterials and related analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize and characterize luminescent nanoparticles.
  • Apply techniques such as X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and nitrogen physisorption.
  • Assist in exploring synthesis approaches and flow-system transfer for nanomaterials.
