Job summary

Astrape Networks in Eindhoven is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to own day-to-day financial administration across our Dutch, Belgian, and Italian entities. The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvements, and audit readiness.

You will work closely with the CFO and management, operate at 80% capacity with potential for full-time, and leverage AI/automation to streamline finance tasks while communicating fluently in English and Dutch.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in (financial) accounting, ideally within a growing SME, scale-up, or accounting firm.
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or have reached an equivalent level through experience.
• You are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of financial processes and deliverables
• You combine strong attention to detail with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and a high standard of accuracy
• You have solid knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and financial administration
• Experience with Exact Online or similar accounting software is a plus
• You are comfortable using AI and automation tools to work more efficiently, and are keen to apply them in a finance context
• Exposure to international or multi-entity environments is an advantage
• You communicate fluently in English and Dutch

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day accounting across multiple entities (NL, Belgium, Italy).
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare supplier payments and payment proposals.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Own month-end close and support quarterly and year-end closes.
• Assist with VAT filings and statutory reporting with external advisors.
• Support audits and strengthen financial controls.
