Job summary

DHL in Utrecht is seeking a Claims Specialist in Insurance & Risk Management (IRM) to manage motor liability and recovery claims from notification to settlement. You will coordinate with insurers, brokers, and legal representatives while ensuring accurate, timely claim outcomes and high service levels.

The role requires 1–3 years in claims, strong organizational skills, and fluency in Dutch and English. An international environment and a competitive package with benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in insurance claims, claims administration, or a similar role.
• Basic understanding of insurance and claims handling; motor claims experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and progress MTPL/WAM claims from notification through settlement.
• Handle recovery claims related to motor vehicle damage, property damage, salary recovery.
• Assist liability assessment by reviewing claim information and expert reports.
• Coordinate with loss adjusters, legal representatives, brokers, insured parties, claimants.
• Provide timely updates to DHL Business Partners on progress and outcomes.
• Support negotiations to achieve fair, timely settlements and identify recovery opportunities.
• Monitor claims, financial exposure, quality and service levels; maintain files and reports.
