Job summary

HE Space is seeking a Science and Research Support Scientist for Moon Exploration in Noordwijk, Netherlands. You will drive science objectives, coordinate teams, and ensure data is prepared and accessible for ESA missions and analyses.

You will operate in an international environment, collaborating with partners to advance lunar science and space resource research, while delivering user-focused science outcomes and system-level requirements.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
• Proven track record coordinating scientific activities and teams with effective communication.
• Expertise in Moon science, lunar geology and geophysics, and space resources.
• English fluency is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and supporting a user community, engaging them in science definition activities.
• Generating science objectives and requirements.
• Supporting the technical baseline with science requirements and studies.
• Leading or supporting research activities to develop missions and system concepts.
• Preparing Announcements of Opportunity, peer reviews, and selection processes.
• Ensuring scientific data is available to the community and supporting its utilization.
• Post-operations support to data users via the ESA archive.
