Job summary

Invenire Group's client, a global proprietary trading firm, is seeking an Associate for the Middle Office team in Amsterdam. You will identify, investigate and reconcile trade, position and cash exceptions, collaborating with trading desks, clearing firms, exchanges and brokers.

Key responsibilities include daily P&L substantiation, reconciliations, reviewing invoices, and supporting system enhancements, with strong English communication and relevant experience in finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar middle-office role in investment banking, pension/hedge fund, or asset management.
• Experience with derivative products is highly desirable.
• Basic Python and SQL knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily P&L substantiation, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Reconcile trading fees with exchanges and clearing brokers, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Process and review broker and exchange invoices, addressing any issues or queries.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve trade, position, and cash reconciliation breaks.
• Continuously review Middle Office processes and procedures to improve efficiency and controls.
• Liaise with Back Office and BI/IT teams to support enhancements to Middle Office systems and tools.
• Perform ad hoc portfolio analysis and support project-related work.
• Coordinate cash transfers to meet funding and settlement requirements.
• Partner with Finance during month-end close to support accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily P&L substantiation, reconciliations, and management reporting
• Reconcile trading fees with exchanges and clearing brokers, investigating and resolving discrepancies

Requirements:

• Accounting/Finance experience is highly desirable
• Experience with derivative products is highly desirable
• Experience with Power and Energy commodities or FX is beneficial
• Basic Python (coding) skills and SQL skills are preferred
• Experience with trade settlement with clearing firms, or processing invoices is desirable
