Job summary

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Supply/Operations to optimise deals and exposure
• Perform regular reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies
• Support deal execution including invoicing with Trading and Finance
• Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Trading, Finance, Risk, and Sales
• Handle ad-hoc queries and drive process improvements

Trade Support – Energy Trading (Rotterdam)

On behalf of a valued client of Meijer & Zanoli, active in Energy Trading and based in Rotterdam, we are looking for a Trade Support professional.

As Trade Support, you play a key role in keeping our client's trading operations running smoothly and efficiently. Your focus will be on accurately capturing trades, managing exposure, and working closely with key stakeholders to optimise physical deals. In this role, you'll contribute directly to the day-to-day operations of the trading desk and help manage the risks involved in sourcing and distributing sustainable fuels.

You act as the connecting link between trading, finance, risk, and operations, combining analytical precision with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Your responsibilities as Trade Support

• Ensure accurate and timely capture of trades (physical and financial)


• Make sure positions and exposure are correctly reflected in the system


• Report positions to Risk/Treasury accurately and on time


• Calculate P&L per book and report timely to Trading and Risk/Treasury


• Work closely with Supply/Operations to optimise physical deals and process changes affecting exposure


• Carry out regular reconciliations (e.g. clearing statements) and follow up on discrepancies


• Oversee deal execution: opening LCs, checking BLs, and optimising quantity/quality together with Supply and Quality


• Safeguard a correct invoicing cycle, working closely with Trading and Finance


• Collaborate closely with the Trading team to ensure accurate and timely data flow


• Build and maintain strong relationships with Trading, Supply, Finance, Risk, and Sales


• Handle ad-hoc queries and elevate where needed


• Identify and contribute ideas for continuous process improvement
