Job summary

NTS Drachten seeks a Wire EDM Operator to manufacture highly precise parts for semiconductor, analytical, and high-tech markets. You will program in Esprit, set up and run Sodick and Fanuc wire EDM machines, and work closely with a small EDM team on diverse, small-series jobs with micron-level tolerance.

You’ll operate in two shifts and have room for development, with focus on craftsmanship and continuous improvement in exotic materials such as titanium and molybdenum.

Qualifications

• MBO level 3 in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with wire EDM, turning or milling.
• Knowledge of machining strategies, tools and clamping techniques.
• Proactive team player who takes initiative and can work in rotating shifts.
• Good command of Dutch (spoken and written) for drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wire EDM machines from Fanuc and Sodick for unique pieces and small series.
• Independently program in Esprit, including choosing clamping and machining strategy.
• Monitor quality and dimensions during and after machining, accurate to about 1 micron.
• Collaborate with engineering and preparation to enable new products.
• Actively think about improving and optimizing existing production processes.
