Waters is seeking a Scientist I, Microbiology to support UK & Ireland leadership across Waters Biosciences and Advanced Diagnostics. You will design experiments, evaluate diagnostic products, document methods, and help advance clinical microbiology testing in laboratories worldwide.

The role involves collaboration with R&D, potential customer-site support, and staying current with regulatory guidelines. A Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and lab experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Science with focus on Medical Microbiology or related field.
• Understanding of clinical microbiology principles and lab practice.
• Knowledge of CLSI, EUCAST, CLIA, and FDA guidelines.
• Experience with product testing, validation studies, or lab automation is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Design and conduct lab experiments for product development and qualification.
• Document procedures and results in line with quality requirements.
• Analyse data, interpret findings, and present recommendations.
• Prepare study protocols and technical reports with required approvals.
• Support validation studies and clinical microbiology evaluations.
• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams on projects.
• Monitor developments in microbiology and diagnostic testing.
• Provide occasional support at customer sites and assist with investigations.
