Job Title: Senior Mobile/Mendix Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead/Senior Mendix Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of designing, developing, and deploying complex enterprise-grade applications using the Mendix low-code platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in Mendix, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. The Lead/Senior Mendix Developer will play a crucial role in mentoring junior developers, setting technical standards, and driving best practices within the Mendix development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of complex Mendix applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and Mendix solution designs.
• Define data models, security models, integration strategies, and deployment architectures within the Mendix ecosystem.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide estimates for development efforts.
• Mendix Development:
• Develop, configure, and customize Mendix applications using Mendix Studio Pro, including microflows, nanoflows, pages, domain models, and custom widgets.
• Implement complex business logic and workflows within the Mendix platform.
• Integrate Mendix applications with various external systems (e.g., APIs, databases, third-party services) using REST, SOAP, Kafka, or other integration patterns.
• Develop and implement custom Java actions when necessary for complex integrations or functionalities not readily available in Mendix.
• Ensure adherence to Mendix best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Deployment & Operations:
• Assist with application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in various environments (on-premise or cloud).
• Implement and manage Mendix application lifecycle management (ALM) processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Mendix Developer.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex Mendix applications from concept to deployment.
• Deep expertise in Mendix Studio Pro:
• Advanced Microflow and Nanoflow development.
• Complex Domain Model design and optimization.
• Expertise in designing and building responsive UIs using Mendix pages and styling.
• Strong understanding of Mendix security model and best practices.
• Experience with Mendix widgets, modules, and marketplace components.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and technologies (REST, SOAP, OData, Kafka, etc.).
• Proficiency in building and consuming web services.
• Experience with Mendix Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Solid understanding of database concepts (SQL, relational databases).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Mendix Advanced Developer Certification or higher.
• Experience with Java programming for custom Mendix extensions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for Mendix deployments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Mendix applications.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Mendix applications.
• Domain knowledge in [mention relevant industry if applicable, e.g., Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing].
