Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior iOS Developer to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is partially remote but requires working proficiency in Dutch to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members. As a key contributor to our mobile development team, you will lead the design and development of advanced iOS applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and Build:
• Develop advanced and robust applications for the iOS platform using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., backend developers, designers, product managers) to define and implement new features and improvements.
• Performance Optimization:
• Ensure the quality, performance, and responsiveness of applications, including optimization for offline usage, efficient memory usage, and multi-threaded operations.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting:
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and ensure smooth integration with external and internal systems.
• Code Quality and Maintenance:
• Maintain code quality through modular, well-documented, and testable code. Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Innovation and Improvement:
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of development methodologies, tooling, and team practices.

Required Competencies and Experience

• Experience in iOS development.
• Strong proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, and SwiftData.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience in leading and managing greenfield and migration projects.
• Deep knowledge of iOS frameworks (Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, Core Text).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, offline storage, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating with external systems and ensuring smooth data flow.
• Platform and Tools Knowledge:
• Proficient with Git/GitHub and version control practices.
• Knowledge of the iOS ecosystem and third-party libraries.
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Network and Connectivity:
• Strong expertise in networking protocols and technologies including Network, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
• Communication & Language Skills:
• Dutch language proficiency at a working level is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
