Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3–5 years designing and developing medical devices or regulated products.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of designing and manufacturing small parts.
  • Strong SolidWorks skills and clear technical writing.
  • English fluency, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop medical devices from concept to final, manufacturable designs.
  • Create 3D models in SolidWorks and oversee prototype manufacture.
  • Assess assembly, manufacturability, usability, cost, and reliability of parts against product specifications.
  • Write procedures and provide production instructions for new products.
  • Produce lifecycle design and development reports.
  • Review technician reports and prepare testing and design documentation.
  • Run GMP process validations and quality system documentation.
  • Communicate with management, peers, and vendors; stay updated on tech developments.
  • Ensure compliance with approved quality processes and regulatory standards.
  • Bring curiosity and attention to detail to solving problems.
