Our values;Be Bold, Build Trust, Focus on the Customer and Deliver Excellence drive everything we create and every decision we make.

We believe that when ambition meets purpose, remarkable things happen. If you thrive in a space where ideas accelerate, challenges spark growth, and making a difference is the goal, ViCentra is your next great adventure.

Your Impact

As Design Engineer, you will design and develop new medical devices from first concept through to final, manufacturable designs, making sure every product is safe, effective, and built to the standards the people who rely on them can trust. Working in SolidWorks, you will bring designs to life in 3D, oversee the manufacture of prototypes, and collaborate across the team on usability and safety testing.

This is a role where careful engineering shapes real outcomes. As ViCentra scales, you will help turn concepts into dependable products, documenting each phase, guiding production, and solving the hands‑on challenges that stand between a promising idea and a device people can count on.

What You’ll Take On

In your role, you will:

  • Design and develop new medical devices from concept through to final, manufacturable designs.
  • Create 3D models in SolidWorks and oversee the manufacture of prototypes.
  • Provide input on assembly, manufacturability, usability, cost effectiveness, and reliability of parts against product specifications.
  • Write procedures and give clear instructions to production for new products and assemblies.
  • Produce reports that document every phase of the design and development lifecycle.
  • Review reporting undertaken by technicians, and prepare testing and design documentation.
  • Run GMP process validations and complete the quality system documentation that lets new processes go live with confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with management, peers, and vendors, and keep current with relevant scientific and technical developments.
  • Champion compliance with every approved quality process and regulatory, legal, and company standard, because the people who depend on our devices are counting on it.
  • Bring curiosity, energy, and a keen eye for detail to everything you touch — always hunting for better ways to solve the problems that matter to the people who use our devices.

What You Bring
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • 3 to 5 years designing and developing medical devices — or products in a similarly regulated industry.
  • Deep, hands‑on knowledge of designing and manufacturing small parts (fine mechanical engineering).
  • Strong SolidWorks skills, paired with clear and confident technical writing.
  • A self-starter who thrives on juggling multiple projects, and rolling up their sleeves to solve problems in a fast, timeline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a strong plus.
  • Injection moulding design and processing experience, plus time in a start‑up or scale‑up, are both a real bonus.
