Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV seeks a Medior Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end projects and design integrated energy solutions for mission-critical environments. You will engineer, calculate, document and communicate robust mechanical designs, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.

The role focuses on 70% 3D modelling/design, 10% calculations/analyses and 20% stakeholder communication, with office-based work and opportunities to grow into a senior position within this

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (HBO) is required.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering/machine building.
• Experience with machinery and diesel/generator technology preferred.
• Knowledge of fuel, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Experience with engineering analyses such as FEA and dynamic simulations.
• Strong technical calculation skills (load, stress, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics).
• Proficiency with 3D design tools: Inventor, Vault, Navisworks, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing mechanical systems and subsystems using advanced 3D CAD and creating 2D drawings.
• Performing engineering analyses such as FEA and dynamic simulations where needed.
• Executing technical calculations to match project requirements and operating conditions.
• Optimising designs to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Managing project engineering from concept through implementation with suppliers and internal teams.
• Creating clear technical documentation for execution, commissioning and maintenance.
• Contributing to continuous improvement focused on energy efficiency.
