Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and optimize emergency power systems. You will lead the full design package—from frame to exhaust and control panels—delivering reliable energy solutions for containerized and on-site installations.

You will conduct advanced analyses (FEA, dynamic), optimize designs for performance and cost, and manage projects end-to-end while ensuring quality, sustainability, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Expertise in mechanical design, diesel and generator technology, fuel, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Proficiency in Inventor, Vault, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Using advanced CAD software to develop innovative and reliable energy solutions.
• Conducting engineering analyses, such as FEA and dynamic simulations.
• Optimizing designs to enhance performance and reduce costs by suggesting alternative materials or design modifications.
• Performing technical calculations, including load, stress, thermodynamic, and fluid dynamics analyses.
• Managing projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with energy independence goals.
• Preparing detailed documentation for seamless project execution and maintenance.
• Continuously improving engineering techniques and processes, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.
