Job summary

Albert Heijn is seeking a Medior Kotlin Developer to modernize our tech landscape and build greenfield microservices for the Stores cluster in the Netherlands. You will work in a product team, participate in agile ceremonies, and deliver scalable Kotlin/Java solutions that touch millions of customers daily.

With 3+ years of experience, you bring Kotlin/Java, microservices, Kafka, cloud knowledge (Azure/OCI), and a strong command of English.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master in Technology/IT Engineering.
3+ years as Medior Engineer in a complex corporate tech environment.
Broad knowledge: Kotlin/Java, Microservices, Cloud (Azure/OCI), API, scalability and security.
Knowledge of Kafka is a big plus.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

Build a greenfield microservices architecture on Kotlin for the Stores Cluster.
Develop technical solutions aligned with system and business process architecture.
Develop proofs of concept, write code, implement automated testing and ensure code quality.
Contribute to technical standards and guidelines.
Collaborate within a product team, participate in agile ceremonies, and handle deployments & production support.
Share expertise and contribute to initiatives within the product cluster and AH Technology Platform.
Develop the team’s skills and processes to deliver value quickly.
