Job summary

Marktlink Capital in Amsterdam is seeking a Fund Accountant to take ownership of fund accounting and reporting, ensuring Dutch GAAP and IFRS compliance while delivering accurate statements.

You’ll manage financial statements, capital calls, NAV support, tax coordination, audits and continuous process improvements within a collaborative, growing platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• Around 3–5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in fund accounting or financial services.
• Good understanding of Dutch GAAP, fund administration and NAV processes; IFRS or ACCA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, cash flow statements and periodic fund reports.
• Maintain and review fund accounting records, including accruals, interest calculations, investments and reconciliations, per Dutch GAAP/IFRS.
• Prepare and review capital calls and distributions; support NAV calculations.
• Coordinate Corporate Income Tax; prepare audit files and support statutory audits.
• Follow up on accounting and fund-related requests from colleagues and external parties.
• Identify ways to improve accounting and reporting processes for reliability and efficiency.

What you’ll do

Prepare and review financial statements, cash flow statements and periodic fund reports.

Maintain and review fund accounting records, including accruals, interest calculations, investment transactions and reconciliations, in line with Dutch GAAP and, where applicable, IFRS.

Prepare and review capital calls and distributions, and support NAV calculations.

Coordinate Corprate Income Tax, prepare audit files and support statutory audits.

Follow up on accounting and fund-related requests from colleagues and external parties.

Identify ways to make accounting and reporting processes more reliable and efficient.

Job requirements

What you bring

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or a related field.

Around 3–5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in fund accounting or financial services.

A good understanding of Dutch GAAP, fund administration and NAV processes. Knowledge of IFRS or an ACCA qualification is a plus.

Strong Excel skills; experience with fund accounting software such as FIS/Investran is a plus.

An eye for detail and the ability to manage deadlines while working collaboratively.

Clear communication skills and fluency in English.
