Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in CS, SE, Programming Languages or related field.
• Strong hands-on programming skills with codebases.
• Experience with C++, C#, Java or Python.
• Experience or interest in program analysis, compilers, reverse engineering, software modernisation or AI-assisted SE.
• Translate complex technical problems into practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineers and researchers.
• Proactive mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test methods for program analysis and software comprehension.
• Analyse large, complex codebases to understand structure and dependencies.
• Develop models/tools for software migration, refactoring and modernisation.
• Apply AI-assisted techniques to software engineering (generative AI, retrieval, knowledge graphs).
• Build prototypes and turn concepts into internal tools.
• Work with industrial software in C++, C#, Java and Python.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical reports, publications and workshops.
