You will collaborate across software, controls, mechanical and system engineering teams to improve functionality, efficiency and quality.

The role emphasizes motion control, system modeling in MATLAB/Simulink, hardware-software integration with servo drives and CANbus networks, and hands-on debugging.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a technical field relevant to mechatronics, control, or robotics.
• Strong MATLAB/Simulink expertise including coder.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for data analysis and control software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize multi-axis motion control loops, feedback and feedforward mechanisms, and PID tuning for high-speed throughput.
• Create dynamic models in MATLAB/Simulink to simulate parcel dynamics and system constraints.
• Select, commission and test servo drives, motors, sensors and embedded controllers in a real system.
• Design and troubleshoot real-time networking interfaces (CANbus/CANopen, CIP, Ethernet/IP).
• Diagnose issues in prototype and production systems, including vibrations and latency, and drive improvements.
• Travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities and project sites to support, evaluate processes and implement improvements.
