Job summary

Vanderlande in Veghel, Netherlands, seeks an Embedded C/C++ Emulation Engineer to work at the interface of software, controls, emulation and mechatronics. You’ll improve product functionality and testability while collaborating with software, mechanical and system engineers on a complex automated sorting system.

You will develop embedded software, extend simulators and digital twins, and strengthen CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Solid experience with Embedded C code and strong C++ knowledge preferred.
• Experience with Linux in embedded/real-time contexts.
• Familiar with industrial fieldbuses and networked control systems.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Proven DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Experience with digital twins, simulators, or automated test pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded features aligned with the controls roadmap.
• Build and maintain automation pipelines and release governance.
• Extend simulators and digital twins integrated with CI/CD.
• Automate deployments across multiple systems and environments.
• Establish technical standards and improve developer experience and traceability.
• Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and project sites.
