Job summary

231 TUS - TRUMPF, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Install Engineer level 1 to support the on-site assembly of Drive Laser systems at ASML. You will work in a cleanroom environment, follow strict protocols and gain hands-on experience toward a Mechanical Engineer level 2.

The role requires 1–3 years in mechanical/industrial settings, teamwork, and a willingness to travel. Training is provided with opportunities for professional development within a global high‑tech company.

Qualifications

  • MBO education (secondary vocational education) preferably in Mechatronics or a similar technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Follow protocols and complete hands-on tasks under supervision with MECH Engineer.
  • Verify delivered materials quality and availability; order tools/materials as needed.
  • Connect water, gas, air and electrical interfaces.
  • Perform alignment and leveling measurements; test circuits for leaks.
  • Initial evaluation of MECH results; report deviations through processes.
  • Document issues and report progress in SIS time registration.
  • Suggest improvements to installation efficiency and quality.

TRUMPF is delivering laser systems, an essential submodule of ASML EUV lithography systems, and is responsible for the installation, commissioning, final testing and the service for these components. For our MECH team we are looking for Mechanical Install Engineers (level 1)! Job Description: As a Mechanical Install Engineer level 1 you will support in mechanically building our Drive Laser systems on site at our customer ASML.

Training

For this position you will receive an intensive training program consisting of:Several weeks of classroom and hands‑on training at our headquarters in Germany, and On‑the‑job training while working directly with the system during installations.

*In this job you will be working in a cleanroom environment. Working in a cleanroom means wearing special protective clothing, following strict hygiene and behavior rules, and operating in a controlled, filtered‑air environment.

The role of Mechanical Install Engineer level 1 is designed as a development position: by gaining technical knowledge and practical experience you will be supported to progress to a Mechanical Engineer level 2 position.

Responsibilities
  • Mechanically assemble/disassemble components in a cleanroom* environment.
  • Perform and validate sequential hands‑on tasks according to established protocols, under supervision and in cooperation with another MECH Engineer.
  • Verify the quality and availability of delivered materials; order additional tools or materials when necessary.
  • Connect water, gas, air and electrical interfaces.
  • Execute alignment and leveling measurements; validate connected circuits with pressure‑drop tests and perform first‑line troubleshooting for leaks.
  • Perform initial evaluation of MECH results; elevate deviations to supporting functions within established processes.
  • Administrative tasks (e.g.): document technical issues, provide daily system progress updates and record working hours in our time registration tool (SIS).
  • Contribute suggestions for improvements (e.g.) to simplify installation, increase efficiency and improve quality/lead time.

  • A starting salary of € 4.023 per month (when choosing for 13 ATV days) or € 4.139 per month (when choosing for 6 ATV days) with an additional shift allowance of 20%
