Job summary

TRUMPF Nederland B.V. is seeking a Mechanical Install Engineer level 1 to support the mechanical assembly of Drive Laser systems on-site at our customer ASML in the Netherlands.

The role includes hands-on assembly, quality checks, and collaboration with MECH Engineers, with training provided in Germany and on-the-job experiences. You will work in a cleanroom environment, wear protective clothing, and participate in a development track aimed at advancing to Mechanical Engineer level 2 as you gain

Responsibilities

  • Mechanically assemble/disassemble components in a cleanroom environment.
  • Perform and validate sequential hands-on tasks according to established protocols, under supervision and in cooperation with another MECH Engineer.
  • Verify the quality and availability of delivered materials; order additional tools or materials when necessary.
  • Connect water, gas, air and electrical interfaces.
  • Execute alignment and leveling measurements; validate connected circuits with pressure-drop tests and perform first-line troubleshooting for leaks.
  • Perform initial evaluation of MECH results; escalate issues as needed.
  • Administrative tasks (e.g.): document technical issues, provide daily system progress updates and record working hours in our SIS time registration tool.
  • Contribute suggestions for improvements to simplify installation, increase efficiency and improve quality/lead time.

TRUMPF is a high-tech company offering manufacturing solutions in the fields of machine tools, laser technology and electronics. In Veldhoven the TRUMPF Service department is directly located at the customer ASML. TRUMPF is delivering laser systems, an essential submodule of ASML EUV lithography systems, and is responsible for the installation, commissioning, final testing and the service for these components.

For our MECH team we are looking for Mechanical Assembly Technicians; internal job title is Mechanical Install Engineer (level 1)!.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Install Engineer level 1 you will support in mechanically building our Drive Laser systems on site at our customer ASML.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanically assemble/disassemble components in a cleanroom* environment.

For this position you will receive an intensive training program consisting of:

  • Several weeks of classroom and hands‑on training at our headquarters in Germany, and
  • On‑the‑job training while working directly with the system during installations.
  • In this job you will be working in a cleanroom environment. Working in a cleanroom means wearing special protective clothing, following strict hygiene and behavior rules, and operating in a controlled, filtered‑air environment.

The role of Mechanical Install Engineer level 1 is designed as a development position: by gaining technical knowledge and practical experience you will be supported to progress to a Mechanical Engineer level 2 position.

Job Requirements
  • MBO education (secondary vocational education) preferably in Mechatronics or a similar technical field

  • Willingness to travel (abroad) for work when required, up to once per quarter

Finally, you are willing to work in two shifts (alternating early/late) and on average one weekend shift per month.

We Offer
  • A starting salary of € 4.023 per month (when choosing for 13 ATV days) or € 4.139 per month (when choosing for 6 ATV days) with an additional shift allowance of 20%
  • Average of 40 hours per week (alternating early and late shift), and 1 weekend shift per month
