Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for SystemFlex to design, develop, and sustain configurable conveyor and transport systems for poultry processing. You’ll work in a hybrid, collaboration-driven environment with cross-functional teams to ensure high hygiene, reliability, and manufacturability while advancing automation and digital engineering capabilities.

The role emphasizes CTO-based product platforms, modular architectures, and model-based engineering in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in engineering technical systems, preferably in machine building or food processing.
• Ability to turn ideas into practical industrial solutions while meeting business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support lifecycle management for systems and product families.
• Develop customer-specific solutions based on standard products and modular blocks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document design changes clearly.
• Ensure technical documentation enables efficient manufacturing and cost control.
• Maintain compliance with machine safety standards and international regulations.
• Configure and develop mechanical aspects using 3D CAD and PDM per PDP.
• Create and update BOMs, drawings, and engineering docs.
• Contribute to standardization and automated configuration processes.
