What you’ll do
- Oversee mechanical engineering across maintenance, turnarounds, and diverse projects to protect reliability and integrity—at optimal cost.
- Lead deep-dive engineering studies and deliver plant modifications that sharpen performance.
- Manage contractors and indirect teams, keeping projects tight and on spec.
- Engage hands-on with plant operations, especially systems handling liquid chemicals and solid materials.
- Prepare for a smooth transition as you take over from a retiring senior expert—securing business-critical knowledge for the future.
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a plant environment—preferably in chemicals, fertilizer, or mineral processing.
- Strong background in liquid chemical processes and solid material handling.
- A calm, creative problem-solver who stays sharp under pressure.
- Safety-first mindset, committed to rigorous compliance.
- Eager to integrate long-term, with openness to learning Dutch (not essential to start).
