Job summary

Demcon life sciences & health in Enschede develops advanced medical technologies and systems. As a Mechanical Engineer you translate scientific insights into robust, manufacturable designs and prototypes, collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality products.

You will work with SolidWorks, perform FEM analyses with Ansys, and participate in design reviews, ensuring reliability, cost-effectiveness and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with FEM simulation software, such as Ansys.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on mindset with designing, building and testing prototypes.
• Good command of Dutch and English.

You combine in-depth technical expertise with a practical approach, ensuring that innovative ideas are transformed into successful products.You understand the underlying physical principles of a system and know how to translate them into functional designs that meet the requirements of customers, users and production environments. Quality, reliability and functionality are key.Your responsibilities also include:* Developing mechanical concepts and technical solutions;* Translating user and system requirements into concrete designs;* Developing designs in CAD (SolidWorks) and preparing technical documentation;* Analysing and ensuring system and product functionality;* Setting up, designing and evaluating prototypes and tests;* Collaborating with system engineers, software engineers, electronics engineers and industrial designers;* Making technical trade-offs based on functionality, risks, manufacturability, quality and costs;* Conducting design reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering methods.#### What do you bring to the table?You are curious, analytical and driven to truly understand technical challenges.
