Job summary

Tective Robotics in Delft is seeking a mid-level to senior Mechanical Engineer to design robust mechanical systems and enclosures for ground-based equipment and flight support hardware.

You will use SolidWorks for components, collaborate across electrical and manufacturing teams, and contribute to producible designs for series production.

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will primarily focus on the design and development of mechanical systems and enclosures that support our products. The majority of your work will involve the mechanical design of ground-based equipment and flight support systems rather than the drone itself. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing robust, manufacturable products for series production.

What you'll do

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.

What we're looking for

Required:

• Strong experience with SolidWorks (or a comparable CAD program).
• Experience in sheet metal design.
• Ability to translate concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Fundamental understanding of DC power systems.
• Fundamental understanding of generator systems and diesel engines.
• Experience implementing vibration isolation solutions.
• Experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE software suite.
