Job summary

Naaktgeboren in Rotterdam is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to advance our Vacu-Press machines. You will develop 3D models in SolidWorks and verify designs with FEM analyses.

Work closely with production, service and suppliers to deliver customer-specific solutions while ensuring PED, Ex and ADR compliance. The role offers room to grow technically, an informal environment, and a full-time 38-hour week with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in machine building or a comparable technical sector.
• At least 1 year of experience with SolidWorks, including working with assemblies and sheet metal.
• Ability to develop designs independently and work accurately within an engineering team.
• Experience with FEM analyses and strength calculations.
• Knowledge of PED, Ex and ADR guidelines and other relevant standards.
• Experience with PDM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models, assemblies and production drawings in SolidWorks.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Naaktgeboren, you work on the technical development and further improvement of our Vacu-Press machines. You translate technical challenges into practical, feasible designs and work closely with colleagues in engineering, production and sales.

What will you do?

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you work on the technical development of existing machine concepts and customer-specific solutions. You create designs in SolidWorks and, together with the engineering team, ensure they are technically sound and practically feasible.

Your tasks include:

• Developing 3D models, assemblies and production drawings in SolidWorks.
• Performing FEM analyses to substantiate structural designs.
• Working together with production, sales, service and suppliers to make designs practically feasible.
• Developing and working out customised technical solutions for international customers.
