Job summary

ENTER specializes in high-tech mechanical projects. As a Mechanical Engineer you will design components in Siemens NX CAD/CAE, specify and verify requirements, and develop concepts balancing quality, functionality, time and costs.

You will create tolerance decompositions, document drawings, and build/test prototypes. You will collaborate with vendors and cross-disciplinary teams to turn project demands into smart, reliable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with parametric CAD/CAE systems.
• Knowledge of design principles for precision mechanisms.
• Knowledge of machining, sheet metal and plastics manufacturing technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

What are you going to do as a Mechanical Engineer?

• Designing mechanical components and units in Siemens NX CAD/CAE.

• Making tolerance decompositions for units.
• Documenting units and parts: drawings, instructions and requirements.
• Building and testing prototypes to prove the feasibility of your model-based designs.
• Reviewing designs with vendors and working closely with colleagues from other disciplines.

Must haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with parametric CAD/CAE systems.
• Knowledge of design principles for precision mechanisms.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as machining, sheet metal and plastics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Within their R&D product development projects you focus on mechanical topics such as media-handling systems, high-precision frames, linear and rotational drive systems, printheads and ink fixation units. Together with stakeholders from Manufacturing, Service, Purchasing and Quality Assurance you translate project demands into requirements. You then turn them into smart designs that properly balance quality, functionality, time and costs.
