Job summary

Naaktgeboren in Rotterdam is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to advance our Vacu-Press machines. You will develop 3D models in SolidWorks and verify designs with FEM analyses.

Work closely with production, service and suppliers to deliver customer-specific solutions while ensuring PED, Ex and ADR compliance. The role offers room to grow technically, an informal environment, and a full-time 38-hour week with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in machine building or a comparable technical sector.
• At least 1 year of experience with SolidWorks, including working with assemblies and sheet metal.
• Ability to develop designs independently and work accurately within an engineering team.
• Experience with FEM analyses and strength calculations.
• Knowledge of PED, Ex and ADR guidelines and other relevant standards.
• Experience with PDM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models, assemblies and production drawings in SolidWorks.
• Perform FEM analyses to substantiate structural designs.
• Collaborate with production, sales, service and suppliers to realize feasible designs.
• Develop customized technical solutions for international customers.
• Check designs against PED, Ex and ADR guidelines and other standards.
• Contribute ideas for technical improvements and future machine development.
