Job summary

Van der Hoeven Horticultural Projects B.V. is seeking a Mechanic Irrigation to service greenhouse irrigation systems across international projects. You will work hands-on and supervise subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with schedule and quality standards.

You will install, maintain, and repair irrigation and water systems, lay pipes and pumps, test installations, and advise clients on optimal usage.

Qualifications

• Technical background in water technology or installation engineering.
• Valid category B driver’s license.
• Preferably experience with irrigation systems.
• Willingness to learn the trade and participate in on-call shifts.
• Detail-oriented and solution-focused.

The role: Mechanic Irrigation

As a Mechanic Irrigation, you ensure that our clients in greenhouse horticulture have well-functioning irrigation systems. In this role, you are not only hands-on with the technical work, but you also take on a supervisory role: you keep an overview, coordinate subcontractors, and make sure the work is carried out according to schedule and quality standards.

Your responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation and water systems.
• Supervising activities on-site and managing subcontractors.
• Laying pipes, drip systems and pumps.
• Troubleshooting issues in water installations.
• Testing and commissioning new systems.
• Advising clients on the optimal use of their irrigation systems.

Your profile

• A technical background, for example in water technology or installation engineering.
• A valid category B driver's license.
• Preferably experience with irrigation systems.
• Willingness to learn the trade.
• A solution-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
• Willingness to occasionally participate in on-call service shifts.
