Job summary

789 Damen Workboats B.V. is seeking a Material Planner to manage MRPs and optimize material flows for our shipbuilding operations in a multinational environment.

You will handle stock movements, collaborate with Quality and Warehouse teams, and provide forecast insights and delivery schedules. The role requires SAP and Excel proficiency, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong Dutch and English communication.

Qualifications

• Secondary vocational education or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and Excel.
• Planning experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain Material Requirements Plans (MRP) to meet yard needs.
• Balance global material and component flows to optimize quality, service and cost.
• Handle stock movements, inventory levels, and ad-hoc material requests.
• Ensure timely fulfillment by transferring stock, shifting priorities, or escalating to Procurement.
• Provide forecast insights and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders.
• Support Phase In/Out processes across plants and make transport mode decisions (sea, air, road) based on urgency and cost.
• Suggest and implement supply chain improvements backed by KPIs and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Handle stock movements, inventory levels, and ad‑hoc material requests.

  • Work closely with Quality and Warehouse teams to manage received, rejected, or defective materials.
  • Provide forecast insights and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders.
• Improve & Innovate
  • Support Phase In/Out processes across plants.
  • Make transport mode decisions (sea, air, road) based on urgency and cost.
  • Suggest and implement supply chain improvements backed by KPIs and analysis.
